Interlock

Frequently asked questions

What is Interlock?
Interlock is a multiplayer jigsaw puzzle website. Everyone in a room sees the same board live, with each player’s cursor visible in real time, so you can genuinely solve one puzzle together rather than racing separate copies.
Is Interlock free?
Yes. Most of the library, the daily puzzle, multiplayer rooms, and every gameplay feature are free. A Puzzle Pass subscription ($4.99/month or $39.99/year with a 7-day free trial) unlocks premium puzzles and table finishes, the daily archive, and unlimited puzzles from your own photos.
How do I play with friends?
Start any puzzle to get a private room link and share it. Friends click the link and are on your board in seconds. Guests do not need an account, and one Puzzle Pass covers everyone who plays in your rooms.
How many people can solve one puzzle together?
Up to 8 players can work the same board at once, each with their own cursor color. Rooms are private: only people with the link (or host approval, if enabled) can join.
How many pieces can puzzles have?
From 12 to 2,000 pieces, including any custom count, with three cut styles (classic, wave, square) and optional piece rotation for extra difficulty.
Does it work on iPad and phones?
Yes. Interlock runs in the browser with no install. Desktop and iPad are first-class, with full touch support (drag, pinch zoom, two-finger rotate). Phones are supported for puzzles up to about 500 pieces.
Can I turn my own photos into puzzles?
Yes. Puzzle Pass members can upload their own photos and turn them into multiplayer puzzles of any supported piece count.
Is there a daily puzzle?
Yes, a free daily puzzle for everyone, every day, numbered like a crossword. The archive of past dailies is part of Puzzle Pass.
Does Interlock show ads?
There are no ads in the play surface, ever. That is a founding pledge: solving stays calm.
Do puzzles save my progress?
Yes. Rooms persist automatically; leave and resume anytime from the home page. Hosts can also end a puzzle for everyone when the table is done.
